About the Girls
Yeah, okay, we're grown women. Let's just make that clear.Honeyspoon, often referred to as a "nice person," knits out her frustrations so she can maintain her nice person status. When not knitting, she makes prosthetic limbs, leg braces, etc. for her patients and spends her free time working on R&D projects aimed at helping those with disabilities who live in developing countries. She gets her daily dose of exercise and cuddles from her adorable pit bull/boxer mix named Micky.
Cyprienne is prone to Muppet flailing and ostentatious punctuation. When not knitting, she spreadsheets and processes and generally organizes, as librarians are wont to do. Cyp used to have too much yarn, but now there is definitely not enough yarn and this is a PROBLEM.
Wool allergies are the devil.
Honeyspoon and Cyprienne met on a little website called Ravelry when they were both sorted into Ravenclaw in the Harry Potter Knitting and Crochet House Cup (HPKCHC) for the Spring 2012 term. They became fast friends and it didn't take long to realize they had similar taste in knitting patterns. In true Ravenclaw fashion, they made a spreadsheet consisting of all the common patterns in their queues and favorites which led to the decision to spend 2015 working on said list together, naturally. Then, oh then, they also discovered they both had been thinking about doing a tour of the Houses. Before they knew it, they had agreed to a Knit-Along/Tour of the Houses combo for the 2015 year. (We might be a little crazy.)
About the Queue
Our shared queue of projects is a mini-knitalong, comprised of patterns we both love. The rules are as follows:
- minimum one 1Queue project at a time; we can knit other things individually, but there must always be at least 1Queue item on the needles
- if one person finishes a 1Queue project before the other, the other must complete that project in 2015
- all joint knits must be mutually decided before cast-on; no skipping ahead!
